DISCONNECTING FROM THE DIGITAL

BOULDER, CO // MARCH 23 2019

The days surrounding the Spring Equinox are a beautiful opportunity to reimagine & reflect. In "Disconnecting from the Digital," environmental educators Jess Drawhorn, Rachel Bare, and Kate Weiner will guide you through tangible practices to help each one of us cultivate mindful relationships with technology that give us the space to reconnect to our Earth, community, and creative energy.

In the face of so many crises, seeking safety in screens can feel like self-care. With this workshop, we want to examine our cultural dependence on the digital, share strategies to nurture creativity rather than consumerism, and explore how we can feel more embodied in our everyday. We'll identify those emotions—scarcity, a hunger to connect, anxiety, boredom—that drive us to plug into technology and create personalized blueprints to help us replace our instinctual urge to "scroll" with compassionate and creative actions that inspire connection to our ecological and social communities.

This workshop will braid together a tea ceremony, creative writing exercises, and outdoor exploration (weather permitting) to equip you with the tools to live a life that aligns with your values. We're so excited to co-create this space with you all!
