PORTFOLIO
Since 2014, we have published more than 20 books on climate change and social justice. From magazines on matriarchy to primers on community organizing, we’re passionate about creating dynamic print media at the confluence of environmental, social and personal systems change.
MAGAZINES
Created in collaboration with a constellation of Black, Native, and Afro-Indigenous contributors, our immersive and in-depth 2022 magazine looks to the movements for Black Liberation and Indigenous Sovereignty for guidance on how to organize, reimagine, and transform in the midst of disaster and revolution.
Our first double-sided issue Waking the Ground explores the cycle between birth and death through artful and intimate essays on death doulaship, child birth, womb work, and rematriation. This lush magazine is a vibrant study in what we will need to create—and what we will need to decompose—as we cross this threshold between two worlds.
BOOKS
Created in conversation with environmental justice educator Dominique Drakeford, Plottin’ is a dynamic exploration of community gardening and collective care.
Written by Loam Co-Editor Kate Weiner and permaculture practitioner Aeran Squires, Micro Movements brims with small practices that can help us exercise our muscles for bigger and bolder action.
Curated by Kailea Loften and Kate Weiner with vibrant cover art by Vyana Novus, Compassion in Crisis braids together story shares from survivors and scholars of climate disaster with holistic resources on disaster preparedness.
In response to a call for a collective homecoming to deep relationality of all kinds, The Down to Earth Deck is a set of 40 conversation cards created to spark discussion about how each of us might connect back to ourselves, our communities, and the earth to nurture healing and take action toward building new worlds.
