LOAM LIBRARY
As part of our publishing-as-activism praxis, we launched the Loam Library in 2022. Loam Library is a mobile library and reading room that works to bring the power of print to the people. At our library, we take care to choose books—in Spanish and in English—that explore issues such as climate justice, community organizing, and Native sovereignty. Loam Library is rooted in the belief that the right book at the right time can spark lasting transformation.
Built in collaboration with architect Anastasia Laurenzi and Yestermorrow Design/Build School, our little library is currently nestled in the Hudson Valley. If you’d like to visit the library IRL, follow our Substack for scheduling updates this summer.
And if want to help us continue our work bringing radical reads to our community, consider making a contribution: mobile libraries require a lot of love—from stocking the shelves to maintaining the trailer—to thrive!
