I never realized just how much I loved fall until I spent autumn in the Southern Hemisphere. A Chilean spring is a beautiful thing and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to relish in Valpo's serpentine streets and sprawling gardens. Still, I found myself missing the trees changing color and squashes flooding farmers' market and apple cider spiked with cinnamon. It was my first year without a fall.

Herewith, several snapshots from my time abroad. It wasn't fall, maybe, but it sure was special.
