Call for Submissions: Loam 2019
Loam is seeking submissions for our 2019 print issue! Our upcoming print issue will be an immersive and multimedia exploration of beauty. We want to encourage our community to celebrate the role of beauty in nurturing sacred and sustainable activist practices as well as to interrogate what it means to use beauty as a catalyst for ecological, social, and spiritual regeneration. Our intention is to create a magazine that explores beauty through multiple lenses. We believe that beauty is more than cultivating sublime spaces and reveling in the miracle of a bodacious spring bloom; it’s showing up for the hard work that is needed to heal our world with passion, persistence, and creativity. This print issue is truly an invitation for you to submit content that speaks to your unique understanding of and relationship to beauty and we are so excited to see what you share!
We are looking for submissions in:
Features on inspiring environmental artists and activists
Photography (Must be 300 dpi +)
The deadline for submissions is Thursday, February 28th, 2019. Submissions will be accepted on a rolling basis. If your work is accepted, you will receive a small compensation. Loam is a truly community-powered endeavor and we strive to do our best by our constellation of creatives. If you have any questions about the process, compensation, and/or pitches to share, please reach out to Loam Creative Director Kate at firstname.lastname@example.org.
